(Information coming soon!)
Dan Whittemore was brought up in a non-believing family that taught man was but
another animal in the evolutionary chain. Our home was one of only a few gentile
homes in a very large Orthodox Jewish neighborhood near the Tacoa Hill area of
Atlanta.  At the age of 18, the glorious light of the truth of Yeshua pierced his heart.
Within a year, he had become a youth pastor, and years later was licensed as a
Southern Baptist pastor.  Dan’s hearts desire is to study God’s amazing Word, and
teach its truths. His efforts have taken him around the world, including 12 years
working with orphanages in Russia.

On a trip to Israel in 1999, he first heard Ray Vander Laan teach about looking at the
Word of God through those Jewish eyes of 2000 years ago.  Adonai used that
moment to steer him in the direction that he is going now. To plug God’s Word back
into the original settings that it was taught, brought new images and revelation.
Introducing people to the Biblical world, the world that Yeshua walked, is now one of
his major focuses. While teaching at several Atlanta area churches, he was invited
to visit the Beth Adonai congregation. It was not long before that become his new
congregational home, and it was here that Dan was ordained as a Rabbi, and
teaches the bible interactively and in-depth from Genesis to Revelation.
Rebbetzen Debbie Whittemore
Dan met his lovely wife Debbie in 1990. They both had been working at the same office for quite some time together, but it
took Debbie’s mother to finally get things headed in the right direction. They were married just a short 10 years later.
Debbie had also been raised in a Southern Baptist setting, but is now heavily involved at the Beth Adonai congregation,
acting as the head Cantor. During the years of attending Beth Adonai, she had fallen in love with the Hebrew language. The
Jewish liturgy has captured her heart, and it is her main desire to sing God’s praise through those ancient and still
powerful prayers.
Governing Board

Congregation Beth Adonai is comprised of two Boards:

1)  A Spiritual Board
2)  A Corporate Board

Both boards work together in many different areas.  We feel it is important to use the gifts God has given us to the best and
fullest potential.

Our Spiritual Board deals with the spiritual and doctrinal issues of the congregation, whereas the Corporate Board deals
with the administrative issues of the Congregation.

The Spiritual Board is comprised of Shamashim (Elders) and Deacons, and they work alongside the Rabbi Sekulow in
caring for the congregation.

The Corporate Board or Board of Directors is comprised of members of the congregation,  with an inclusion of an
additional Rabbi who is outside the congregation.  Spouses are included during our meeting for the reason that when man
and woman are joined together in marriage, they become as one.  We also feel that both men and women bring a different
perspective to the table that can help us minister more effectively to the body as a whole.

The Board of Directors for 2009 is as follows:

President - Rabbi Scott Sekulow
Vice President - Rabbi Eric Tokajer
Secretary/Treasurer  - Doug Hammett

Administrative
Our Administrative staff supports Rabbi Scott and Rebbetzen Judy, as well as, the congregation wherever is needed.
